Feature of High Temperature Analysis (1) (High Resolution)

ET-RP1 4D is polymer base column for high temperature analysis. Figure shows comparison of reduced plate height and analysis time between 40°C and 150°C. Smaller value of reduced plate height means better column resolution. The reduced plate height of acetophenone and benzene decreased at the 150°C. Mobile phase viscosity decreases at higher temperature and thus enhanced diffusion rate between the eluent and the polymeric stationary phase. Then resolution is improved.

Sample :
1. Uracil
2. Pyridine
3. Acetophenone
4. Benzene
(notes) Eluent was introduced to column after preheating and introduced to detector after cooling.
